For quite some time, we at Franklin Medical have been using digital photography in two different business applications:
- To send photos of specific products through the Internet. In this way, we are able to show minute details of various products and illustrate how to assemble and use them.
- To email photos of a patient's injury to a doctor and/or hospital. As an example, the healing progress of a bed sore can be monitored by digitally photographing the effected area every few days and sending the photo through the Internet for review by a doctor. Such practice cuts down on the frequency of visits to a doctor's office and photos can be reviewed without the need of scheduling an appointment unless, based upon review of the photographs, deemed necessary by the physician.
Having the equipment necessary to accomplish such activities, a wider use of the technology has developed… custom mailings of advertising cards and postcards, complimentary Franklin Medical calendars etc.
This has evolved into our non-medically oriented photo business, which is operated through our Digital Imaging Division.

- Postcards (change of address cards using photos of the new residence)
- Picture note cards (ideal for promotional use by Real Estate Professionals)
